A Lawrenceville woman has been arrested and charged with stealing a financial transaction card from a resident at a Flowery Branch assisted living facility where she worked and running up a tab of several thousand dollars.
Cigi Shenise Wilson, 35, is accused of stealing a debit/credit card that was mailed to a 70-year-old man, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO). The investigation determined the victim had been expecting the card to arrive by mail, but he never received it. He contacted HCSO on June 18, after he received a bill for $4,000. Investigators said Wilson intercepted the transaction card and used it to make personal purchases.
Wilson has been charged with exploitation of an elderly person, financial transaction card theft and financial transaction card fraud. She was arrested on Tuesday and remained in the Hall County Jail Wednesday afternoon with no bond.
