Dog owner arrested; 11-yr-old shot, killed; Feds arrest Ga. sheriff; City official arrested

*The owner of three dogs in Floyd County is now facing charges for a recent attack. The sheriff’s office arrested the woman for reckless conduct after her dogs escaped her yard and violently attacked the victims. Injures included lacerations, puncture wounds and scratches. The dogs were not properly restrained at the time of the attack.  
 
*A teenager is behind bars for the deadly shooting of an 11-year-old in Columbus. Investigators say Kadin Harris was killed while his brother was exchanging guns with the suspect, identified as Jordan King. It’s been a week since the child was shot to death on Apex Road. WTVM reports King turned himself and the weapon in on Friday.  
 
*A Georgia sheriff is facing federal charges. A grand jury indicted Burke County Sheriff Alonzo Williams for multiple counts of extortion. He’s accused of taking cash payments to help make DUI charges disappear. He’s also charged with giving a gun to a convicted felon.

*Acworth’s former municipal court administrator is accused of stealing more than $500,000 from the city. Trevez Richards allegedly stole $574,702 in cash bond funds from a court lockbox over an 18‑month period.
