*97.5 Glory FM has confirmed that elections officials in Hall County have asked a court for an extension of time as they seek to verify the names on a recall petition filed against Sheriff Gerald Couch. The application was turned in a few weeks ago. The elections office is asking for another 15 days to complete the verification process.
*The Georgia Games Powerlifting competition returns to Gainesville for both men and women on Saturday and there’s still time for competitors, novice or veteran, to sign up. Competition is divided into both age and weight divisions. All entrants are given a meet t-shirt with the top three in each class awarded medals.
