Several Gainesville area organizations are among 179 groups in Georgia sharing in $1.3 million in grants announced this week by the Georgia Council for the Arts that will support operations, programs, and art education around the state.
They are Brenau University, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier, Lanier Chamber Singers, and Southeastern Young Artists (all Gainesville); Forsyth County and Soorya Foundation for the Performing Arts (both Cumming); Georgia Suwanee Performing Arts (Suwanee); and Pick and Bow Traditional Music School and ConnectAbility (Dahlonega). Individual grant amounts were not announced.
Funds awarded by Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA) include appropriations from the Georgia General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional grants for Vibrant Communities and Cultural Facilities programs will be awarded in fall 2026.
