(EDITOR’S NOTE: An earlier version of this story said the meeting is tonight. It is Friday night. We regret the error.)
A town hall meeting will be held Friday night in Lula to discuss the town’s nearly week-old water shortage.
It will be held at The Depot at 6:00 to “discuss water concerns and conservation,” a social media posting says.
“Learn about our water system, share your ideas, help shape our future. Your voice matters. Together we can make a difference. Questions will be answered related to the recent water events as well as future water improvements.”
The interim city manager told 97.5 Glory FM yesterday afternoon the situation had not changed in the past 24 hours. Water levels in the town’s system are still low and though no contaminants had gotten into the system as a precaution a boil water advisory was still in place.
