UPDATE: Injuries at fireworks show; Holiday DUIs, BUIs top 400; Deadly police chase; Celebrity gunfire interrupts fireworks show

*Three people are recovering from injuries suffered in a Georgia fireworks show. Crisp County fire investigators told WMAZ that several fire tubes dislodged and shot off horizontally on Lake Blackshear for the Fourth of July. A small fire was also put out but only caused minimal damage.

*Over 400 people are facing charges for reportedly boating or driving or boating under the influence over July 4 weekend in Georgia. The state Department of Natural Resources reported just over 30 boating citations as of Sunday morning. The state patrol says more than 370 people had been arrested for DUI as of 6:00 Sunday night and 25 DUI-related traffic accidents had been reported.

*The state patrol also reports a deadly trooper chase in Henry County. The agency says a driver fled a traffic stop on I-75 southbound Sunday morning only to crash a few minutes later during the pursuit. 

*Celebrity gunfire interrupted a July 4 fireworks show Saturday night in Avondale Estates and sent spectators scrambling. Police say it came from the backyard of nearby residence, according to the AJC. That’s where they found shell casings and arrested a 39-year-old convicted felon and charged him with reckless conduct and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
