Gas prices keep coming down week after week.
The average price in Gainesville is $3.45. That compares to $3.49 last Monday. The statewide average is $3.53, compared to $3.58 a week ago. But the biggest decline this week is in the nationwide price: $3.91 a week ago, compared to $3.80 today.
All of this according to AAA.
Crude oil prices have fallen to their lowest levels in months, dropping to the $60 a barrel range. Overall, gas prices remain the highest they’ve been in four years, but the downward trend since late May is welcome news during the busy summer driving season, AAA says.
