FBPD NEWS RELEASE:
“Friday) officers with the Flowery Branch Police Department (FBPD) responded to a Theft Report in the 5900 block of Gainesville St.
The victim told officers that someone had entered their residence and stolen items valued at over $10,000. The items were later discovered posted for sale online.
Investigators were able to locate the stolen items and identify the suspect as James Cole Johnson, 30, of Flowery Branch. While arresting Mr. Johnson, suspected methamphetamine and a smoking device were discovered in his possession. The stolen items were recovered by the Flowery Branch Police Department and returned to the victim.
Mr. Johnson was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
Burglary
Theft by Taking
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession and Use of Drug Related Objects
He was subsequently transported to the Hall County Jail.
