Walter Danny McCrary, 45, of Murrayville remains in the Hall County Jail with no bond following his weekend arrest on charges of making terroristic threats during an incident at his home during which he allegedly threatened to torch the house.
HCSO NARRATIVE:
“Around 11:30 Saturday night Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies responded to the scene of a fire outside a residence in the 5500 block of Bark Camp Road. Firefighters were on scene extinguishing the fire. McCrary, who had apparently set fire to the grass next to the house, was also there.
The investigation at the scene determined McCrary had been upset with his two teenage daughters. He had entered their bedroom and yelled at them before kicking a hole in the wall. He then exited the house before setting the fire. The investigation also determined McCrary told the children he would burn down the house, and if anyone tried to extinguish the fire, he would pour gasoline on it.
At the time of the incident, McCrary’s daughters and his mother were inside the house. No one was physically injured.
McCrary is being held without bond on two counts of terroristic threats and acts under the Family Violence Act (FVA) and one count of misdemeanor criminal trespass (vandalism).”
