Renovations complete, some county offices planning return to government center

Hall County Government Community Development and Infrastructure departments will return to the newly renovated Third Floor of the Hall County Government Center July 13.

“The third-floor renovations at the government center are complete, and we are excited to unveil the finished space to our staff, residents and developers,” Interim County Administrator John Gentry said.

The following departments will return to the Third Floor of the Hall County Government Center:

  • Building Inspections
  • Business Licenses
  • Development Services
  • Environmental Health
  • Gainesville-Hall Metropolitan Planning Organization
  • Geographic Information System (GIS)
  • Marshal’s Office
  • Planning and Zoning
  • Public Works and Utilities

“One of the greatest additions to this renovation is our consolidated service window, which residents and developers will notice as soon as they enter the third floor,” Gentry said. “Rather than visiting each individual department, patrons will now be greeted by a representative of each department at a single window, which will improve staff collaboration and the overall customer service experience.”

The bulk of the move back to the government center will occur after hours and over the weekend. While staff may still be settling into their new spaces, services will continue like normal with little to no disruption to County operations.
