HCSO NARRATIVE;
“At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday…Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies responded to a “traumatic” injury call in the 200 block of McConnell Drive.
Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) personnel also responded and treated the victim, who suffered a head injury in a bicycle accident.
Deputies spoke with the victim, identified as Steve Eugene Johnson, 60, of Gainesville, and witnesses. According to the preliminary investigation, Johnson was riding a bicycle and attempted to stop when he realized the brakes were not working. He crashed into a brick wall surrounding a business.
HCFR transported Johnson to the hospital.”
There was no other information on the injury or Johnson’s condition.
