FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE DEPT. (FBPD) NEWS RELEASE:
“On June 4th…Officers with the Flowery Branch Police Department
conducted a traffic stop in the area of Parsons St and McEver Rd based on
an observed equipment violation. Further investigation led to a probable
cause search of the vehicle.
During the course of the search officers
discovered marijuana and more than 400 grams of a substance believed to
be methamphetamine. The driver attempted to conceal and destroy the
suspected methamphetamine. The driver, Michael Joseph Otting, 45, of
Dawsonville, was arrested as a result.
Mr. Otting was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
Possession of Methamphetamine
Trafficking of Methamphetamine
Possession and Use of Drug Related Objects
Tampering with Evidence
Seatbelt Requirement Violation
Window Tint Violation
