*A 64-year-old Gainesville man was arrested recently following a public safety response to Pilgrim’s Poultry, according to Gainesville Police spokeswoman Jessica Van. “The fire department and police were dispatched to the Pilgrims field office off Industrial Blvd on 6/5/2026 around 4:00 PM,” Lt. Van wrote in an email. “Upon investigation, it was discovered that (the man) pulled the fire alarm to get the attention of the management staff. He was allegedly at the business to look for employment and became impatient when no one was coming to the window.” He remained in the Hall County Jail at mid-morning Tuesday, charged with false report of a fire and disorderly conduct. Bond totals $2,600.
*Lt. Vann also says a call had come in several hours earlier that same day “about a naked female at the business of QuikTrip.” She says officers located the woman walking on the sidewalk in the area of Queen City Parkway and Jesse Jewell Parkway. “She allegedly entered the business with no clothes from the waist down and went to the restroom for a while. Then exited the business and walked to the sidewalk. She allegedly did not have pants on or any clothing below her waist because she previously soiled herself.” She was arrested and taken to Hall County Jail. The 37-year-old is from Alpharetta, and is being held in lieu of $1,300 bond, charged with public indecency/indecent exposure.
