4 injured, including 4-yr-old, in rush-hour crash

GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:

“On June 4…at approximately 7:45 a.m., a Trooper from the Gainesville Post of the Georgia State Patrol responded to SR 369 (Jesse Jewel Pkwy), near Quarry Street, to a investigate a traffic crash.

Upon arrival, the Trooper determined a Honda Pilot was traveling westbound on SR 369. The driver, Christie Woodruff, 67, of Gainesville, was following too closely and struck the rear end of a Ford Escape, driven by Alma Badillo, 21, of Gainesville.  The original collision caused a chain reaction crash, causing the Escape to strike a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Elizabeth Fellman, 31, of Gainesville.  The Cherokee then struck a Lexus RX330 driven by Elizabeth Atha, 54, of Gainesville. 

Woodruff, Badillo, Fellman, and Fellman’s 4-year-old child were transported from the scene for medical treatment of minor injuries. Woodruff was cited for Following Too Closely.’
