Southbound lanes on I-85 in Jackson County were closed for several hours early Monday because of a fatal accident.
The state patrol says the wreck occurred around 2:30 and involved a tractor-trailer and a van. The van driver, whose name has not been released, was killed.
Both lanes remained closed until about 8:00.
