The Flowery Branch City Council (FBCC) is scheduled to consider the town’s 2026 Road Resurfacing Project Contract when it meets Thursday night. The low bidder, according to the agenda for the meeting was Allied Paving Contractors, and the amount of the bid was $777,000.
Also, the council will conduct a public hearing on the budget for the coming fiscal year.
“Historically, the city held its public hearings for the upcoming budget year alongside the required public hearings for the Millage adoption,” an entry on the agenda notes. (However) Due to changes in the property tax calculation by the state legislature, the city will hold public hearings for the Millage rate
adoption at a later date. This public hearing is for the proposed FY2027 budget only.”
