*The Atlanta Police Department has launched an investigation into whether one of its officers has had an affair with a federal judge that involved courthouse sex. The AJC reports the department acknowledged the investigation was underway Thursday.
*State health officials Thursday confirmed three more cases of measles in Georgia – all in metro Atlanta and all involving unvaccinated members of one family who recently returned from an overseas trip. That brings to at least five the number of confirmed cases in Georgia so far this year.
*The Georgia Public Service Commission has approved a Georgia Power plan to lower residential customers’ power bills next month. The plan calls for a savings of about $50 a month for customers statewide. The agreement reduces fuel and storm cost recovery charges by the utility.
