A Gainesville man died Monday afternoon following a single-vehicle crash on Clarks
Bridge Road. The wreck occurred just after 1:00.
According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Richard Allian Lamon, 64, was traveling northbound on Clarks Bridge Road near Maynard Circle. As he attempted to negotiate a curve, his car left the road, struck a tree and sideswiped a utility pole.
Lamon was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville with critical injuries, where he did just before 3:00.
