A Flowery Branch man is free on bond after being arrested following traffic stop by Flowery Branch Police Thursday who say they seized a gun and a variety of drugs from him.
FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE DEPT. (FBPD) NEWS RELEASE:
“Officers with the Flowery Branch Police Department observed a vehicle committing multiple traffic violations and subsequently conducted a traffic stop.
Officers on scene established probable cause to believe that the driver, identified as Andrey Valkov Vidal
of Flowery Branch, was under the influence of alcohol. Further investigation led to a search of the vehicle which resulted in the location of multiple suspected drugs and a firearm.
Mr. Vidal was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
DUI
Possession of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance (x2)
Possession of a Schedule 2 Controlled Substance (x6)
Possession of Marijuana Less than 1 Oz
Possession of Dangerous Drugs
Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime
Acquiring a License Plate for the Purpose of Concealing Vehicle
Identity
Possession/Use of Drug Related Objects
Alcohol Possession/Consumption Underage
He was subsequently transported to the Hall County Jail.”
A spokeswoman for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office says Vidal was released on bonds totaling $17,290 Saturday afternoon.
