Based on the latest information from the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office, 86.6% of Hall County’s “active” voters have yet to cast ballots in today’s primaries, despite three weeks of early voting which ended Friday. More than 14,000 of the votes cast during early voting were in the Republican Primary, nearly 5,000 in the Democratic Primary, and there were 166 non-partisan ballots cast.

Your ballot will contain statewide races for U.S. Senate, governor, lt. governor, secretary of state, attorney general, ag commissioner, insurance commissioner, labor commissioner, school superintendent, and public service commissioner districts 3 and 5, although not all offices are contested.
Locally, you’ll find races for congressional districts 7 and 9, county commission districts 1 and 3, county school board at large post, district attorney and solicitor general. Also, state house of representative districts 100 and 29. Again, not all offices are contested.
As usual, polls will be open 7:00-7:00 and anyone in line at 7:00 tonight will be allowed to vote.
