Gov. Brian Kemp Friday extended the suspension of Hall County Sheriff Gerald Couch for another 30 days.
Kemp’s executive order, designating the action, was announced early Friday afternoon. The governor first suspended Couch for 60 days in March after a three-person panel he appointed recommended the action.
Couch was arrested in February in Hall County by one of his own deputies on charges of DUI and failing to maintain lane. And just a couple of weeks ago, he was arrested in Dawson County on a traffic charge and for violating the terms set of his driving privileges which were imposed by a judge while he is free on bond.
