UPDATE: More charges in golf cart theft case

Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigators have charged two men in connection with a fifth stolen vehicle in South Hall earlier this year.

HCSO NARRATIVE:

“While investigating the four previously reported stolen vehicles, investigators executed a search warrant at the home of one of the suspects on March 10. During the search of Timothy Dougald Macmillan’s residence on Daylily Drive in Braselton, investigators found a 2021 Club Car golf cart in his garage. The golf cart had not yet been reported stolen.

Investigators traced ownership of the cart to the business Custom Golf Carts. According to the initial investigation, Macmillan, 36, of Braselton, and co-defendant Harry Siberon, 45, of Flowery Branch, took the cart from a location where the business had been storing inventory. The theft occurred between Jan. 25 and Feb. 27…Both men (have now been charged) with felony theft by taking in connection with the Club Car theft.

The HCSO Protective Transport Unit transported Macmillan, who was arrested March 11 in Lumpkin County, to the Hall County Jail on Friday morning…to face his local charges. He was released on $31,050 bond Friday afternoon.

Siberon has been held without bond in the Hall County Jail since his arrest March 26.”
