Man accused of taking pictures under women’s skirts

Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) have charged a Barrow County man with using his cell phone to take photos underneath the skirts of two women at a South Hall restaurant.

HCSO NARRATIVE:

“On Sunday…just before 1:30 p.m., HCSO patrol deputies responded to the Cracker Barrel on Lanier Islands Parkway.

The victims reported they had been waiting in the restaurant lobby for seating when Jonathan J. Zavala-Villanueva, 26, approached them individually and angled his camera underneath their dresses in an apparent attempt to take photos or videos. The restaurant manager was able to provide security camera footage of one incident.

Zavala-Villanueva was at the scene when deputies arrived. Deputies seized his phone and took him into custody on two counts of prohibition of nude or sexually explicit photograph or video.

(He) remains in the Hall County Jail with no bond (and more) charges are possible following forensic processing of (his) cell phone and further review of security camera video from the restaurant.”
