Three injuries in Monday Ga. 365 crash

Three people suffered minor injuries in a wreck Monday afternoon on Georgia 365 at Mud Creek Road which shut down one lane of 365 for more than an hour. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says it happened when one of the two vehicles involved turned into the path of the other.

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE:

“According to the preliminary investigation, James D. Church, 57, of Martin, was driving north on 365 in a 2014 Dodge Journey in the right-hand lane. A 16-year-old…from Cornelia was southbound on 365, driving a 2007 Toyota Camry. She entered the turning lane to turn left on Mud Creek Road…and the vehicles collided.

Hall County Fire Rescue transported all three people involved — the drivers and Church’s passenger, Bonnie Jean Church, 49, of Martin — to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment. Investigators described their injuries as minor.

Investigators cited the juvenile driver for failure to yield while turning left.

The collision blocked one northbound lane on 365 for approximately 90 minutes.”
