A former employee of the Commerce City Schools System (CCSS) has been arrested on four counts of theft by taking and one count of ID fraud.
Authorities say Katherine Smith turned herself in Monday.
The charges stem from an internal audit conducted by the school system that uncovered financial irregularitiès.
