Temperatures through the month of February were slightly warmer and drier than normal in Gainesville and across the rest of north Georgia.
The weather service office in Peachtree City says on average north Georgia temperatures were two degrees above normal and precipitation was an inch below normal.
In Gainesville, the average temperature was 48.5 degrees which is about three degrees warmer than usual. Precipitation was 2.17 inches below normal.
