Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of four vehicle in the south end of Hall County last month.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:
“(Sheriff’s deputies) and property crimes investigators arrested Harry Siberon, 45, of Flowery Branch, on Thursday…in the 4700 block of Bryant Road in Buford. The second suspect, Timothy Dougald Macmillan, 36, of Braselton, was arrested March 11 in Lumpkin County, according to the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office online inmate check.
The first in the series of crimes happened in the early morning hours of Feb. 6, when both suspects stole one vehicle each from Lanier Christian Academy in the 4900 block of Chestnut Mountain Circle. Siberon took an E-Z-GO golf cart, while Macmillan stole a Polaris Ranger UTV. They drove the vehicles through a chain-link fence. Macmillan wrecked the UTV, and Siberon got the golf cart stuck. They abandoned the vehicles on the property.
Early on Feb. 11, both men stole an EZ Kruiser golf cart from Celebration Church in the 5500 block of Thompson Mill Road. The golf cart has not been recovered.
The latest incident happened the night of Feb. 21, when someone stole a Volkswagen Corrado from a shop/storage area on Union Church Road. Investigators recovered the car from Siberon’s residence in the 5100 block of Stoneridge Drive on March 17. Siberon had removed its hood, cut off the exhaust, removed the seats, broken the driver’s window and cut out the radiator. Only Siberon currently faces charges related to the car.
Investigators charged Siberon with two counts of theft by taking, two counts of second-degree criminal damage to property and one count of theft by receiving. The charges are all felonies. Investigators obtained felony arrest warrants for Macmillan for two counts of theft by taking and one count of second-degree criminal damage to property.
Siberon was booked into the Hall County Jail following his arrest. He remains held on $34,000 bond. Macmillan is being held in the Lumpkin County Jail.”
