A 57-year-old Gainesville man remained in the Hall County Jail at late Thursday morning after being arrested earlier in the week for selling drugs outside a South Hall business, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman said.
Shannon Ramon Maddox, 57, is charged with the sale and trafficking of methamphetamine.
“On Monday, March 23, 2026, during the course of a drug investigation, Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Special Investigations Unit (SIU) investigators located Maddox outside of (an Atlanta Highway store),” sheriff’s office B.J. Willilams wrote in an email. “They determined Maddox had been selling illegal narcotics at the location.”
Williams added “Maddox had in his possession 50 grams of meth. Investigators estimated the street value of the drugs at $3,700.”
He is being held without bond.
