*(SRN NEWS/AP/SEMAFOR) – A bipartisan group of U.S. senators, including Georgia’s Ralphael Warnock, has reached a deal on capping the price of a month’s supply of insulin at $35, Semafor reported on Wednesday, citing an interview with New Hampshire Democrat Senator Jeanne Shaheen. Shaheen is making an urgent push to pass legislation to reduce the cost of insulin before her retirement from Congress, teaming with Senators Susan Collins, Warnock and John Kennedy.
* A portion of the longest south-to-north interstate on the East Coast hopes to get a needed expansion in Coastal Georgia. Stretching over 1,900 miles from Florida to Maine, a proposal is on the table to widen a portion of I-95 from Bryan County to the South Carolina state line. The goal of the $102 million project is to ease traffic gridlock and improve safety, a Georgia Department of Transportation spokeswoman tells WSAV.
