Georgia’s September unemployment rate increased to 3.4 percent, up one-tenth from a revised 3.3 percent in August. The unemployment rate was four-tenths lower than the national average.
Jobs were up by 17,100 (0.3%) over the month and up by 96,100 (2.0%) over the year to 4,942,700, an all-time high.
Local rates for September will be announced next week.
