With Spring now officially behind us, the National Weather Service (NWS) has released its Winter 2025-2026 Climate Summary.
It shows that the average temperature in Gainesville was 45.5 degrees, 1.9 degrees above normal. Precipitation was 7.07 inches which is 7.33 inches below normal.
The statistics cover December-February the period recognized by climatologists, meteorologists, etc. as winter.
