Clyde joins chorus as Ga. GOP ramps up blaming Democrats for partial government shutdown

9th District Cong. Andew Clyde is joining a chorus of Georgia Republicans stepping up attacks on Democrats, especially Jon Ossoff (D-Georgia) and Raphael Warnock (D-Georgia), as the partial government shutdown continues.

The AJC reported Thursday that they are trying to turn it into a political weapon against Georgia Democrats, pointing to those reports of hours-long lines at the Atlanta airport as more TSA workers quit or call in sick.

“Who can blame them?”, Clyde (R-Jackson County) whose district includes a part of Hall County, posted on X. “Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock are forcing them to work without pay for the THIRD time in six months. Democrats would rather protect illegal aliens than pay our TSA officers.”

Meantime, federal officials warned Wednesday they may have to shut down TSA operations at some smaller airports if the stalemate continues much longer.
