The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a freeze warning for Hall County and other parts of north Georgia, effective from 11:00 tonight through 10:00 tomorrow morning.
FROM THE CITY OF GAINESVILLE:
“The NWS urges the public to plan for the following:
Subfreezing temperatures as low as 20 degrees
Frost and freeze conditions that could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation
Possible damage to unprotected outdoor plumbing
The NWS has also issued a wind advisory, effective now through 2:00 tomorrow morning:
Northwest winds 10-20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph
Gusty winds with the power to blow around unsecured objects
Falling tree limbs resulting in power outages
A challenging drive, especially for high-profile vehicles
