UPDATE: Browns Bridge Rd. fire destroys tractor-trailers

11:00 A.M. SUNDAY UPDATE:

A fire late Saturday night, in the 3600 block of Browns Bridge Road near Lamplighter Cove Road resulted in the loss of two tractor-trailers that were fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived.

“Crews deployed hand lines for fire attack,” Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) EMS Division Chief Bobby Ogletree said Sunday morning. But there was a problem getting water to use in fighting the fire.

“…water source was across Browns Bridge Road,” Ogletree said, “so one (fire truck) blocked the road to protect the hose supplying water.”

The sheriff’s office reported that the road was reopened shortly after midnight.

There were no injuries and the cause of the cause of the fire remained unclear late Sunday morning.
