HCSO NARRATIVE:
Hall County Sheriff’s Office (detectives) have charged a Gainesville man with bribery following an investigation that began earlier this year.
Investigators were notified about the allegation on January 15 and began work on the case.
According to the preliminary investigation, Reyes Salamanca, 24, attempted to bribe a state probation officer at DUI Court by offering the officer $200 to let him (Salamanca) have someone else provide a urine sample for his (Salamanca’s) screening. The officer declined and documented and reported the incident.
Investigators charged Salamanca with felony bribery on Thursday…
Salamanca has been in jail since Jan. 13 for misdemeanor probation violation.”
