Capt. Shane Henson, who has been with the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) more than 30 years, was a passenger in a serious traffic accident over the weekend in Glascock County and is in ICU and awaiting his second surgery.
The Glascock County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened on Griffin Pond Road.
Upon arrival, deputies and other emergency personnel found a vehicle that had struck a large tree. There were six people in it. All were taken to a hospital.
No other information on the crash has been released.
