*A 48-year-old man was arrested Saturday night on charges of not using his seat belt and driving with a suspended or revoked license. He’s also facing a shoplifting charge involving items worth “over $500.” Another unidentified county has asked Hall County to place a “hold” on him for reasons not identified in the report.
*A 31-year-old man has been charged with fleeing or attempting to elude following his arrest Friday night, according to the Sunday morning Hall County Jail report. He was booked about 9:30. He’s also charged with possession of illegal drugs, failure to maintain lane, speeding, using his cellphone or other wireless devices while driving, and illegal entrance onto a public road from an alley or driveway. Also, DUI, reckless driving, running a stop sign, driving on the wrong side of the road and having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle.
*A 58-year-old man who was arrested Friday night is charged with hit-and-run as well as obstruction of an officer, failure to maintain lane, an illegal license plate, and possession of cocaine. In addition, he’s being held for Habersham County authorities for reasons not listed on the Hall County Jail report.
*A hit-and-run charge is also among the seven drug- and traffic-related charges facing a 27-year-old man who was arrested Saturday morning. The other charges include DUI.
*And a drug distribution charge has been filed against and 18-year-old arrested Saturday night at Pearl Nix Parkway and Browns Bridge Road.
More information on these cases is not likely to be available until Monday morning when local law enforcement offices reopen following the weekend.
