No one was seriously injured in a noontime wreck Wednesday in Clermont, according to the state patrol.
STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“…The investigation revealed a 2005 Lexus GX470, driven by 73-year-old Lionel Edgar Godfrey, of Cleveland, was traveling south on SR 284 (Main Street). Godfrey stopped for the stop sign at the intersection of SR 11 (Cleveland Hwy) before attempting to cross over and continue south onto SR 284…
(But he failed) to yield after stopping at the stop sign and entered the path of a Ram 1500 pickup truck towing a utility trailer. The Ram, driven by William Daniel Prudencio, 21, of Gainesville, struck the driver’s side rear of the Lexus with its right front.
Mr. Godfrey was transported by Hall County Fire Rescue for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Mr. Prudencio and his 45-year-old passenger, William S Prudencio Teyssier, had no reported injuries.”
