Widespread high temperatures in the 80s are expected in Georgia through at the end of the week and over the weekend, with slightly cooler readings in our corner of the state.
“These temperatures may near or exceed daily record highs at our four main climate sites,” a weather service advisory says. Those sites are Athens, Atlanta, Columbus, and Macon, where highs each day through Sunday are expected to reach into low- to mid-80s.
