Colin Gray trial: Jury deliberations to begin Tues.

A group of Hall County residents are set to begin deliberating the fate of Colin Gray, the father of alleged Apalachee High School shooter Colt Gray, Tuesday. Closings arguments were held Monday in the trial which is being held in Winder but with a Hall County jury because of a change of venue.

The elder Gray had been charged with 29 crimes in connection with the Sept. 2024 shooting, including second-degree murder (two counts), involuntary manslaughter (two counts), and cruelty to children (25 counts).

But Monday, the judge agreed to drop two of the child cruelty charges against him because two students in the class when the shooting happened did not testify in the case.
