A number of social media posts overnight Sunday night complained of and wondered about the mysterious sounding of sirens around Hall County.
Some wondered if it had to do with the unusually strong winds the area has been experiencing or if it was the result of malfunctions in the county’s weather warning system.
Asked about it Monday morning, the county’s director of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, Zach Brackett, said the county is investigating.
“We are evaluating the reported sounding of a siren overnight,” Brackett said. “At this time, I do not know if it was from our system or not.”
