A motorist eluded capture Tuesday night after abandoning his vehicle in Murrayville, prompting a brief manhunt by Hall County authorities.
“An unknown driver ran from a traffic stop on Thompson Bridge Road just north of the Fieldale plant around 10:40 last night,” sheriff’s office spokeswoman B.J. Williams explained Wednesday. “A license plate check on the vehicle indicated the registration had been suspended.”
Williams said a K9 team was deployed as part of the search, but the hunt was called off “without success.”
