Gas price increased across-the-board this past week, according to AAA.
The average price in Gainesville is up today by seven cents to $2.71 a gallon. Statewide, the average went from $266 a week ago to $2.72. And nationally the increase was two cents to $2.94.
AAA says the increases were the result of an anticipated increase in demand heading into the holiday weekend – President’s Day Weekend.
