*An 18-year-old is facing six charges growing out of a domestic dispute that occurred Friday night. The charges are simple battery, terroristic threats and acts (2 counts), damage to property, and obstruction of an officer or criminal investigation (2 counts). He was being held in the Hall County Jail without bond late Saturday morning.
*Also being held without bond was a 56-year-old man who was arrested Friday night at the Gainesville hospital and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession and use of drug-related objects.
*Gainesville Police received a report Wednesday of sexual battery. The complainant said the crime occurred between December 11 and December 13. Messages left with the department for more information on the case were not returned by the end of the business day on Friday.
Other details on each of these is not likely to be available until Monday when local law enforcement administrative offices reopen following the weekend.
