Authorities in Forsyth County are still searching for the SUV that struck and seriously injured a teenager in a church parking last month. And Tuesday they formally asked for the public’s help.
FORSYTH CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (FCSO) NEWS RELEASE:
“On “January 14…(about) 8:45 p.m., a 15-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle in the
parking lot of Abundant Life Church, located on Strickland Road. The juvenile had just departed a
Wednesday evening youth service when the incident occurred.
The vehicle involved is described as a black SUV. Following the collision, the driver and occupants fled
the scene and have not yet been identified. The SUV exited the church parking lot and traveled toward
Atlanta Highway on Strickland Road.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she remains hospitalized and is recovering from
her injuries.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Specialist Unit is actively investigating this incident and is
asking for the public’s assistance. Anyone with information that may help identify the vehicle or its
