A 45-year-old woman has been charged by Gainesville Police with stealing mail from mailboxes at an apartment complex.
Monika Michelle Walker was arrested early Thursday morning and charged with Theft by Possession of Stolen Mail, Criminal Damage to Property, and Possession of Tools for the Commission of a Crime.
Capt. Kevin Holbrook said Walker was found at the mailboxes at an apartment complex at Eagle Eye Road about 3:00 a.m. “Multiple mailboxes were damaged (and she) had tools of the crime and around 100 pieces of mail belonging to others,” he wrote in an email.
Walker was still in the Hall County Jail late Friday afternoon. Bond has been set at $9,400.
