The Braselton Town Council recently signed off on plans for the next step in the widening of Georgia Highway 211.
The council approved an agreement involving the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Barrow, Gwinnett and Hall counties to cover the cost of relocating water and sewer lines during Phase II of the project.
GDOT will pay around four million dollars of the $6.5 million cost and is expected to select a contractor for the work this month.
