Longtime Braselton City Manager Jennifer Scott has been placed on administrative leave, Glory 97.5 was able to confirm Saturday morning. The move came at a called meeting of the mayor and city council Friday.
Mayor Kurt Ward thanked Scott for her many years of service in a brief statement he issued Saturday, adding that the council “is prepared to move forward in a different direction.”
Scott, who has worked for the city for nearly 30 years and also served as City Clerk, said in response to the council’s decision, “While I am naturally disappointed by the Town Council’s decision to move in a new direction, I depart with a profound sense of pride in what we have collectively built since I first stepped into Town Hall in 1997.”
