The Dawson County Chamber of Commerce (DCCC) Wednesday alerted its members about a fraudulent email making the rounds that is targeting them.
DCCC ADVISORY:
“We want to make you aware of a fraudulent email that is currently circulating and has been received by some of our Chamber members. Please disregard, delete, and block any email claiming to sell an attendee or visitor list for the 29th Annual Dawson Chamber Gala 2026 or similar Chamber events.
The Dawson County Chamber of Commerce does not sell member, attendee, or event contact lists, and any message offering such information is not authorized by our organization. This email is a phishing/spam attempt and did not originate from the Chamber.
We are actively working to address the situation and prevent further distribution. We also appreciate our members who promptly brought this to our attention so we can keep everyone informed.
