After a brief warmup, cold air returns Wednesday night and Thursday – with lows in the low 20s forecast later in the week for the Gainesville area with wind chills in the teens..
“Moisture is very limited,” in the weather system headed our way, according to the weather service, “but light snow showers are possible late (Wednesday night and Thursday) mainly in far north Georgia.”
Any accumulations are expected to be minor (a trace to half-an-inch) with slightly higher amounts possible in highest elevations.
